I really feel like I don’t need to say much about this gorgeous girl! She is my sunshine! I could literally spend the whole day with her and never stop smiling or laughing! I absolutely adore her!! She and her new husband, Seth, have the most amazing spirits, and personalities!!

Michelle and Chris were married on April 16th! She and her girls decided to get ready at the NYLO hotel in Frisco. So, my assistant Sara and I walked into her room… and instantly I was blown away! My bride was gorgeous, her headpiece was gorgeous, and everything was perfect! I think I almost pee’d my pants… everything went together so well! The dress. The headpiece. The colors. The details. The girl. The boy. The super cute son (SUPER CUTE!). It was truly a photographers dream! And Michelle and Chris could not be more perfect for each other! I am SO happy for them, and wish them all the best!
Keep looking for more to come! We are in the middle of a crazy season! And I can’t wait to get them all uploaded up here! It’s going to be a GREAT year!

So, I kind of don’t even really want to say anything and just let the awesome-ness begin! But… I will… Elizabeth has been planning her wedding for her entire life! Her wedding (this past Sunday) blew my mind!! She was absolutely gorgeous!! The details were… well, a photographers DREAM! I mean… this girl pulled off everything SO well and I can’t wait to finish her wedding and see the images and the kick butt video that will come from it… (thanks to MediaBlend Studios!)
And here is the part where my love/hate of bridal sessions gets to reveal it’s LOVE side! I absolutely love the results of this session… and I have been DYING to put these up! So here it goes… the first image absolutely BLOWS MY MIND!

I know I’m not the world’s greatest at keeping up with this thing… So, I’m going to apologize in advance. For future reference, just know that I am truly sorry for not being an amazing blogger!! I really really aspire to be… among other things.. (cook, artist, fashion expert… etc) but alas I am not. Hopefully you will understand, and forgive me. I am going to thank you in advance for the amazing hospitality!
Now, onward. So, this past weekend I got thrown into the wonder that will be known as “The Amazing Wedding Season of 2010!” Started the weekend off with an amazing wedding on Friday with Tammy and Nathan! Then Saturday I taught a workshop in Tyler for new photographers and did 6 children’s photo shoots. Then on Sunday, I got to spend the entire day outside with 3 amazing couples!! And wrapped up with another children’s shoot on Monday morning!
Whirlwind of a weekend, but it was SO worth it! I would not want to spend my time doing anything else! So, I wanted to give you a little sneak of this past weekend!
I’ll try to be better about keeping you updated!

Lately people have been asking me for amazing videographer suggestions… and I love that! If done right I think your wedding video can be absolutely amazing. Video has come so far from where it used to be, now a days it’s a whole new world!
The crazy awesome people at MediaBlend Studios have done something amazing… they are revolutionizing wedding videography into wedding cinematography… aka… you get to star in a movie on your wedding day! It’s pretty awesome. They have some of the most advanced equipment I’ve ever seen at a wedding… The “steady cam” is ridiculous! It adds a whole new element to your wedding “movie” that a lot of folks aren’t doing.
I got to work a wedding with them in February… and not only was it a crazy awesome wedding, they turned out a “trailor” for their video that is UNreal. You can really see the difference when you watch this video…
And yes… at the beginning, that was Ryan actually saying his vows. How cool is that?!

A couple weeks ago…(Yeah, weeks… I’m really late to get this up here!!) I had an amazing lunch with Sarah from Sweet Art Bakery at Sauce in McKinney! (Side note:Sauce… REALLY good! It’s worth the drive to McKinney if you don’t live there!) Back a few months ago, I went and hung out with Wendy and Emily from Each and Every Detail, while I was there I got to meet Sarah! Right away I knew she was a pretty cool gal, and that I liked her style!
Back to now… When Sarah and I went to lunch, she showed me some of the amazing work she has been able to provide brides with in the past… it was UNreal!! I was blown away! I didn’t even know you could make cake look that good!! Now, I love cake… but mixing the creative love in my life, with my love of cake… you have pretty much won me over for good! When you talk to her… you need to ask her to see some of her groom’s cakes! THEY ARE RIDICULOUS! Oh… and they taste good! Which is super important as well!
She is always looking for a challenge, and when she gets one… she ROCKS at it! When she gets to try new stuff it usually turns out to be more amazing than you could EVER imagine! Seriously, when I was looking at her cakes my jaw was probably on the floor the whole time, and you know I don’t send you to people that don’t have a crazy awesome personality, so you know Sarah is so great!
Fun Facts about Sarah and Sweet Art Bakery:
1)Sarah started out teaching elementary for NINE years!! *to all those friends of mine out there who aren’t happy in their job, but are afraid of taking a plunge… DO IT! It will be the best decision you’ve ever made!!* So, you know she has a super sweet personality if she was able to hang out with kiddos for nine years!!
2)She takes classes all the time… and even teaches them! But, she knew she would do well when she started getting better than her instructors… Sometimes that is the greatest test! Those teaching us have so much to offer, but those lessons combined with the new love, and new creativity can sometimes push us in the greatest directions!
3)Why wedding cakes? Sarah thinks that the cake is the one thing on your wedding day that you and all of your guest get to use all of your senses to enjoy! Plus, have you ever seen a bride’s face when she finds out that the cake is EXACTLY what she wanted… maybe even better!! (on the flip side… it’s not a happy moment when it’s NOT what she wanted) And that’s why Sarah takes so much of herself into each cake. She is a perfectionist, and wants to get that beautiful reaction out of each of her brides!! (And I’m the lucky one who gets to capture it! I LOVE MY JOB!)

The Tyler New Love Workshop
When I was starting out in photography I really would have loved for someone to teach me some of the things they learned along the way, and to give me tips and tricks to improve my photography every day. I owe a lot of what I know, and do to some of the amazing photographers I have had the pleasure of working for, with, and alongside. I would not be the photographer I am if it weren’t for the workshops I’ve been to! I want everyone to have that opportunity! So, I will be holding a teaching workshop in Tyler for anyone who is new to photography, or who just wants to learn more. So, like I’ve said before when I sit down to blog, it’s like a blog explosion! I get a little carried away!
I’ve been trying to think of what to say about Mary Michelle and Andrew… I’m stumped because they are so GORGEOUS I get sucked in to looking at their crazy awesome pictures! From the moment Mary Michelle walked in to Chapelle des Fleurs that day, I knew it was going to be an incredible day! She was so excited, and dressed in YELLOW! I love it when I see my brides loving color! (If you haven’t noticed I’m a little obsessed!) She and her girls were hilarious, and then to top everything off, Andrew and his guys were so funny! I love it when the guys aren’t shy in front of the camera and have me laughing so hard that sometimes I forget I’m shooting them!
At the end of the night Andrew and Mary Michelle’s dad surprised her by having the horse drawn carriage take them around for a starlit ride! She thought they were going to be leaving her stinkin amazing Corvette! So we had to give her car some love too!
There are so many stories from that day… I was nice and withheld some, so no one would be embarrassed, but let’s just say, I had a smile on my face the entire day from all the fun Lane and I had at this amazing wedding!!!

There are some weddings where I pack up my equipment at the end of the night, get in my car, and sadness hits me because I am truly so sad that their wedding has come and gone! I absolutely LOVED this couple from the very first time I met them! I met them at a Starbucks and could have sat there with them all night long! I felt like we had been friends for so long! Even as I was looking through their images to get them edited and ready I would bust out laughing or almost cry because I was so attached to them and their story! I could not be happier and feel more privileged to have been a part of their huge day! I feel so honored! Anyway, with the first picture… how could you NOT love them!
And you can tell their reception was Amaazing! I pretty much have the whole thriller dance frame by frame in our images! Hilarious! And, might I add, one of the best thriller dances I’ve ever seen!
Congratulations Monica and David! I can’t wait to see your story unfold together!

I’ve found that when I sit down to do a blog post, it’s like a snow storm, and I do like 5 in one day! So, forgive me for the blog attack today~but, if you’re bored at work, or just like to see what new words I can come up with, I’ve given you something to do today, You’re Welcome! ha.
In March we’ve got some AWESOME weddings to look forward to! One, that we are all excited about is Jana and BJ on the 12th! Their engagement session was HOT! And her bridals were even more amazing! The girl just can’t take a bad picture! The preparation process is probably one of my favorites! I love what girls go through on the day of their wedding to make sure that their new husband has the “WOW!” face when he sees her for the first time! Jana got her hair done at the Von Anthony Salon in Frisco. Super modern, hot, contemporary salon and they let us come in and take some of her bridals IN the salon! When the owner saw the end result he did not hesitate in getting some canvases up of this gorgeous girl!
The people at Von Anthony Salon are so nice, and great to work with! They want to make sure you look your absolute best on the biggest day of you life! They have an amazing area for you and your girls to get ready, the cutest bathrooms Laura’s ever seen, they do hair AND make-up. They are basically your one stop shop for AWESOME-NESS!!
